Founded in 2022 by Margaret Coleman and Janet Louise Shephard-Stone, with the support of Tavira Lions FC, where our identity was born — “Leoas”, meaning Lioness in English.

Our vision is simple:
to grow community, make new friends, support wellbeing of mind and body, have fun, and build confidence and fitness along the way.

Over the past four years, this vision has truly come to life. Our club continues to grow and now proudly offers Walking Netball and Running Netball for adults and youths, as well as mixed netball, welcoming players of all abilities and backgrounds.

With bilingual coaches and umpires, we encourage everyone — beginners, returners, and experienced players alike — to join us. Whether you’re playing purely for enjoyment or have a competitive edge, we’ll help place you in the environment that suits you best.

We receive valued support from the Câmara Municipal de Tavira and Junta de Freguesia de Conceição de Tavira, helping us strengthen and expand our club.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we’re able to access quality equipment and resources, while our team includes highly experienced coaches and umpires with many years in the sport.

Our club operates within a strong framework, including leadership, safeguarding, compliance, first aiders, and coaching support — ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-organised environment for all.
